Role: Senior Conveyancer Tenure: Ongoing Commencement: Immediate Location: Deer Park (Hybrid/Flexible, conveniently situated near the train station) Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5:30 PM (full time with flexibility) Salary: $90,000 – $100,000 package (Negotiable, dependent on experience) About the role The primary role of the candidate will focus on completing conveyancing matters from beginning to end. In many conveyancing tasks, time becomes of the essence, therefore the ability to prioritise and provide accurate work efficiently is the key to success. You will run files from beginning to end including all administrative tasks with assistance from our administration assistant as well assist in managing the files and supervising administrative staff and other conveyancers. The role provides for a lot of autonomy and the opportunity to make it your own, whilst working closely with the Principal Lawyer who will be overseeing the matters from time to time. You will however be required to manage the conveyancing files and be able to deal with and resolve day to day issues of a conveyancing file. Skills and experience A minimum of 4-7 years conveyancing experience is required for this senior position; Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; Excellent work ethic and initiative; Experience with PEXA, duties online platforms and Smokeball preferred; Impeccable time management, ensuring diligent file preparation and task management; The ability to juggle and prioritise competing tasks; The ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines; The ability to work autonomously, and more importantly, the ability to seek answers where information provided may not be clear; The ability to correspond professionally with all parties involved in a transaction; Advanced understanding of the conveyancing process; Managerial skills and ability to supervise other staff, delegate tasks and review other staff work; A genuine interest in coordinating all aspects of a sale or purchase from initial negotiations (including contract preparation or advice) through to settlement. What we are looking for Whilst we welcome applicants with diverse backgrounds and experiences, this is very much a Senior role and only applicants with managerial and supervisory skill sets should apply. You should have the following qualifications or experience, before applying for the role: Advanced Knowledge of PEXA Online Conveyancing Platform Advanced Experience with DOL Online Digital Duties Forms System Minimum of 4 to 7 Years Conveyancing Experience Applicants who have completed a Conveyancing Course will be prioritised for the role.
