PWN Peer Groups are powerful discussion-based communities that give Members the opportunity to build their network and develop knowledge of investing, family strategy and philanthropy. About PWN Founded in Australia, PWN is a membership organisation for individuals and families of significant wealth. With activities across Australia, New Zealand, and connections to Asia, Europe and the U.S. We are an impact-driven community with a mission to make wealth meaningful for our members, their investments and the communities they live in. We believe that private wealth can and should have a positive impact on the world. Role Overview Family Wealth Peer Group: This group is dedicated to learning about the following: Succession, Wealth Transfer & Family Relationships/Dynamics Building Enduring Family Enterprises Preparing the Next Generation Philanthropy and Purpose-Driven Giving The Psychology of Wealth and Family Dynamics Risk, Governance, and the Modern Family Office Session format and duration: Sessions will run 5-times per year in person, each for 2-hours duration, occasionally followed by a light lunch Typical session timing is 10.00am through until 12noon (occasionally followed by a 1-hour light lunch) Sessions are typically held at a venue in East Melbourne or the CBD. Session formats typically fit into 3 types: Fully facilitated discussion on a pre-defined topic A peer group member acts as a case study or presenter External expert or interesting person leads a discussion for an hour, followed by a discussion within the group for an hour PWN values the following qualities in our facilitators: An interest in creating topics/discussion sessions that will genuinely benefit PWN members. A background in a Family Office/Family Wealth. An ability to engage everyone in the group and encourage every voice to be heard. A forward-looking creative mind that allows us to provide new and innovative content outcomes for PWN members helping members stay on top of industry changes. A focus on creating new relationships between members that will foster peer support. Ideal Profile: We value the integrity and transparency that comes with our commitment to member success. In line with this, candidates must not have conflicts of interest arising from advisory or consultant roles in the industry. Your commitment to transparent and conflict-free facilitation is highly valued as we assist families in achieving their goals. Independent Consultant: Candidates may be independent consultants with a broad understanding of family office dynamics and wealth management without direct affiliation to wealth management firms. Board Experience: Possible proven experience serving on boards, particularly those related to family offices, private companies, or non-profit organisations is beneficial. Family Office/HNW Experience: Experience working with family offices or high-net-worth individuals, providing strategic insights and understanding is valued. No Conflict of Interest: Must demonstrate no conflict of interest, maintaining the integrity and trust of the group. Excluded Affiliations: Ideally, candidates should not be affiliated with wealth management firms, fund managers, sales, business development roles, banks, or large consulting firms, ensuring impartiality and focused expertise. Selection Criteria: Demonstrated expertise in facilitating group discussions and managing group dynamics within a family office environment. Organised and able to strategically plan a yearly schedule of topics relevant to the group. Enthusiastically motivated to establish strong connections with members of the Peer Group outside of the 5 yearly sessions. Ability to stay on top of industry trends and bring fresh thinking into the Peer Group experience. Proficient in conducting hybrid sessions using Zoom, effectively involving both on- and offline attendees. Drive to help the group stay organised and on track in between sessions. We establish a genuine environment for our Peer Group Chairs, fostering curiosity and enabling peak performance. You will be part of a team of seasoned facilitators, who get together for quarterly training and knowledge exchange, serving PWN members across Australia and New Zealand.
