Newpoint Advisory (NA) provides financial analysis, restructuring and turnaround, and formal insolvency services to the property and construction industries across Australia. Our assignments range from distressed development and builder IAs to Builder Financial Reviews and Insolvency matters across property and builder restructures, property management and completion of distressed property developments. NA’s core strategy is to help stakeholders mitigate risk and make informed credit and recovery decisions and is a trusted advisor to its clients, comprising secured lenders, developers and builders. Property and construction experience preferred, but not essential. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Economics. CA/CPA qualified and willing to complete ARITA course (if not completed). Clear written and verbal communications skills. Commercial attitude to problem solving, negotiation and timely decisions. Motivated and efficient with an ability to take ownership of assigned matters and coordinate multiple work streams. Tasks and Responsibilities Part of the senior management team for business management and growth strategy. Workflow will generally include: Manage distressed property and development matters. Detailed financial modelling, forecast cashflow and feasibility analysis. Identify, analyse and implement strategic and creative options to maximise property realisations and outcomes across a range of distressed property types and locations. Coordinate lawyers, sales agents, builders, and other consultants to deliver target outcomes. Prepare reports for and engage with clients and creditors. Oversee statutory insolvency processes and procedures to mitigate risks. Staff management: mentor and develop staff and ensure achievement of required deadlines and quality expectations across multiple workstreams. Marketing: identify, formulate and support marketing efforts for existing clients and to secure new clients. Growing team with collaborative working environment that encourages development of skills, service lines and clients. Flat structure with high autonomy and access to diverse industry client base. Training support and mentoring from a diversified team of professionals (finance, property, construction and insolvency). Option to work remotely. Access to high profile distressed property/construction projects across Eastern seaboard. Opportunity for promotion. Above market salary + bonus.
