Cook - ERFS Davoren Park Fixed Term, Term-time (44 Weeks) Start : 21 January 2026 End : 18 December 2026 Classification : School Officer, Level 4 ABOUT US EREA Flexible Schools Ltd currently educates over 2,000 young people in 21 Flexible Learning Schools (12 based in Queensland and 9 elsewhere across Australia) and two Special Education Services Schools in Sydney. Flexi schools serve young people who experience complex educational, social or psychological situations which demand unique responses. They enable young people to engage in education in a supported learning environment through a methodology based on trauma informed practice, to co‑create a Common Ground using Operation by Principles, in which the principles of Honesty, Respect, Participation, Safe & Legal are embedded. ABOUT THE ROLE The Cook will report directly to the Head of Campus and is expected to work collaboratively with all staff and young people in the school. The primary role of Cook is a stand‑alone role that will be required to prepare and provide healthy meals to the young people who attend ERFS Davoren Park. Previous experience and/or certificate level qualifications in the hospitality industry (Chef or Cook desirable). Current First Aid Certificate or ability to obtain within first 3 months of employment. Currently hold or ability to obtain a Food Handler Certificate and Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (within first 3 months of employment). Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the preparation of meals in line with healthy eating guidelines (SMART CHOICES). Knowledge of the use and care of equipment utilised in the preparation of school meals. Ability to share knowledge in the application of safe food practices in the preparation, storage and provision of meals with staff and young people.
