ABOUT THE ROLE The Investment Associate plays a critical role in supporting GO.FARM’s investment strategy by delivering high quality analysis, financial modelling and insights that enable confident, high impact capital allocation. This role contributes directly to transaction execution, portfolio performance analysis and strategic decision making. You will build robust financial models, prepare investment papers, analyse returns and support our Investment Committee to make evidence-based decisions. You will work closely with the CIO and other senior leaders across Development, Operations and Finance to ensure investment opportunities are well understood, accurately evaluated and aligned with GO.FARM’s purpose, strategy and value creation model. The role is Melbourne based at the Melbourne Farm Hub, with periodic regional travel for on-farm assessments, due diligence and market insight. You have experience in financial modelling, investment analysis and due diligence, and you take pride in producing work that stands up to scrutiny. You thrive in a collaborative, values-driven team and are energised by working alongside highly capable specialists across agriculture, finance, development and operations. You may not come from an agricultural background, but you are keen to learn and motivated by meaningful, real-world investment. REQUIREMENTS 2 to 3 years experience in investment banking, Big 4 transaction services, corporate finance or advisory Strong Excel modelling capability including financial statements and sensitivity techniques Demonstrated analytical and quantitative capability with high attention to detail Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high quality work under time pressure Experience or interest in agriculture is desirable but not essential. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Take ownership of investment strategy inputs for 2–3 investment entities, including performance analysis, value creation opportunities, and forward-looking capital allocation recommendations. Identify opportunities to drive improvement in investment performance Conduct analysis for portfolio companies with bespoke modelling to support strategic decision making Prepare investment papers, decision memos, and presentation materials for the CIO, Investment Committee and Directors.
