In this role, the Head of Strategy Delivery takes the Board‑approved Growth Strategy and turns it into reality by guiding initiatives through their full lifecycle – from early exploration and problem identification, through detailed design and solution development, to implementation, benefits realisation and closure. The position provides direction and oversight to a small team of subject matter experts, embedding agile and lean methodologies and fostering a culture of disciplined, high‑quality delivery. NB – this role is a 12MFTC About the role Facilitate and drive the full transformation program, providing both strategic and operational leadership. Guide subject matter experts through the entire lifecycle—ideation, discovery, design, build, implementation, and post‑implementation reviews—ensuring clarity, alignment, and accountability at every stage. Provide hands‑on leadership to find solutions in an agile way, ensuring successful delivery of initiatives within a small‑bank environment. Lead and manage a small team of subject matter experts, ensuring strong execution discipline and consistent delivery outcomes. Collaborate across all areas of the bank, fostering strong relationships and open communication to ensure engagement and ownership of transformation initiatives. Serve as the primary liaison between the Growth Strategy and all business units, ensuring stakeholders are informed, engaged, and supported throughout the Growth Strategy journey. Work with Implementation Coordination to track and consolidate progress across all transformation initiatives and prepare clear, concise status reports for the Chief Strategy Delivery Officer, Executive Leadership Team, and Board. Assess performance against KPIs from previous releases, identifying lessons learned and opportunities for improvement to strengthen future delivery and optimise outcomes. Ensure transformation initiatives deliver clear value to the organisation, supported by transparent reporting and benefits tracking for the Executive Leadership Team. Establish and maintain robust governance, delivery frameworks, and operating rhythms that uphold strategic alignment and enable consistent progress. About You Demonstrated experience leading transformation or strategic delivery programmes, ideally within financial services or other highly regulated industries. Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, finance, technology, or a related discipline. Proven ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable plans and drive initiatives through the full delivery lifecycle. Strong background in programme or portfolio management, including governance, reporting, risk management and benefits realisation. Experience leading high‑performing teams with a hands‑on approach to coaching, development and execution. Ability to operate effectively at both strategic and operational levels, adjusting approach to meet the needs of senior executives and delivery teams. Strong stakeholder management experience, including influencing senior leaders, facilitating alignment and driving collective ownership of outcomes. Demonstrated capability to build strong cross‑functional relationships and foster a culture of collaboration. Proficiency in agile, lean or modern delivery methodologies and their practical application in a banking or corporate environment. Ability to prioritise and roll out fast solutions; comfortable with a pragmatic, agile approach and thinking outside the box. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to simplify complexity and provide clear, structured recommendations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare concise, executive‑ready reporting for ELT and Board audiences.
