Overview Locum Hospital Social Worker role at Manual Music. HP3 Social Worker required for locum with a remote health service based in South West Queensland, approximately eight hours' drive from Brisbane or a short flight. You will join an allied health team of 25 and cover a varied caseload. Responsibilities Deliver high level rural generalist social work services and leadership as a member of a multidisciplinary team to achieve better health outcomes for children, families and adults. Provide high level clinical social work across a varied range of clinical areas including, but not limited to, acute, subacute, emergency, maternity, palliative, adult, child and family, outpatient and outreach clinics, with the ability to exercise independent judgement around health issues. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding required to navigate statutory processes and negotiate complex processes through QCAT, The Public Trustee and The Office of the Public Guardian. Apply collaborative, evidence-based social work interventions in a generalist capacity across a broad range of conditions and settings. Qualifications / Requirements Strong experience in Community or Acute Social Work (not Mental Health). Experience in rural generalist social work as part of a multidisciplinary team. Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgement around health issues related to child and family issues, ageing, acute and chronic disease. QLD Health credentialing OR a current state/federal police check and Blue Card preferred. Understanding of statutory processes and ability to navigate complex processes through QCAT, The Public Trustee and The Office of the Public Guardian. Details ASAP start date for 3 months + possible extension. Locum rates up to $75 + super (depending on experience). $200 travel allowance each way and free accommodation provided.
