Safety, Health & Environment Business Partner Due to internal growth, we are looking for a Safety, Health & Environment (SH&E) Business Partner to join our AIRR team on a permanent, full-time basis. Reporting to the Head of SH&E, this role is critical in supporting the AIRR leadership team to continuously improve safety, health, and environmental performance across the AIRR network. You will provide expert advice, coaching, and technical support to promote a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with Elders SH&E frameworks, legislation, and internal standards. You’ll also play a key role in supporting SH&E governance, performance reporting, and the rollout of initiatives aligned with national objectives – all while working closely with branches, senior leaders, and key internal stakeholders. This role is ideally based in Melbourne, Victoria, however we’re open to other locations for the right candidate. Regular travel will be required to support branches, facilitate training, and respond to incidents. Responsibilities Actively engage with the AIRR leadership team to align SH&E priorities with strategic business objectives Provide advice, guidance, and training on SH&E matters, fostering a proactive safety culture Lead and support the implementation of the Elders SH&E Framework, including policies, critical safety standards, and compliance programs Monitor and report on SH&E performance and KPIs to AIRR and Elders governance bodies Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations (ICAM methodology), and drive corrective action plans Support the delivery of SH&E initiatives including Safety Action Teams, Safety Month campaigns, and culture surveys Partner with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure legislative compliance and continuous improvement Coordinate and deliver SH&E training and ensure alignment with Elders training and capability programs Support AIRR teams with environmental compliance and chemical safety obligations (including Agsafe) About You Tertiary qualifications in Safety Management or a related discipline (Diploma or above preferred) Experience in a SH&E partnering role, ideally within a multi-site, warehouse/distribution, or retail/agricultural environment Strong understanding of WHS and environmental legislation, standards, and compliance processes Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills Proven ability to influence and coach at all levels, including senior leadership High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a solutions-focused mindset Comfortable working both autonomously and collaboratively across teams and locations Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SH&E reporting platforms Unencumbered driver’s licence and willingness to travel About AIRR AIRR is proud to be a part of Elders, the last Australian-listed major agribusiness.
