As our Community and Member Engagement Officer, you will be driving the participation, support member growth and retention as well as promote surf life saving as a vital community service across the Northern Territory. Contribute to an iconic organisation that saves lives Salary packaging available Employee assistance program (EAP) for health and wellbeing Flexible working options available for the right candidate Onsite parking RESPONSIBILITIES Build and maintain positive relationships with volunteers, clubs and community partners. Support member recruitment, onboarding, retention and recognition activities. Assist with the promotion of community events, education programs and surf lifesaving initiatives. Collect data and feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of programs and initiatives. Proactively seek opportunities for member acquisition and community engagement to strengthen the local reach of SLSNT. Represent SLSNT at community functions, schools and stakeholder meetings. Assist with the set up and delivery of SLSNT events including the NT Championships and Awards of Excellence. ABOUT YOU Understanding of Surf Life Saving or volunteer based organisations. Experience supporting regional or remote community programs. Have the right to work in Australia (evidence required) Have a current Working with Children check (ochre card) or ability to gain one. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong organisation and event coordination. Prior experience in community engagement, member relations, or volunteer coordination. Confident using digital tools and social media for engagement. Willing and able to work some flexible hours.
