The Opportunity We're seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering and design team in Bassendean, WA. This role offers the chance to engage in both the development of our standardised bulk materials handling equipment and in delivering bespoke design and build projects to our international clientele. The role is tailor‑made for someone who is passionate about complex capital equipment and excels in both process and mechanical engineering. Your Responsibilities Develop and refine innovative design concepts with a focus on bulk materials handling, to assist our sales team in securing projects. Detailed machinery design and engineering. Creation and maintenance of product and project documentation including Technical Files and Operation Manuals. Ensuring design compliance with Australian and international standards. Participate in review and sign‑off processes for application solutions, tender submissions, and bespoke project designs. Lead troubleshooting efforts and develop solutions for engineering issues. Collaborate with production to ensure quality and process improvements. Develop the company's product range, focusing on standardisation for efficiency. Conduct R&D activities and provide on‑site support. About You A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. Experience in detailed design of mechanical equipment, ideally with a focus on bulk materials handling. A minimum three years of mechanical equipment design experience is required. Adept at developing and writing detailed technical documentation. Broad technical knowledge (basic metallurgy, hydraulics, pneumatics, structural, electrical, controls). Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar 3D design software. Unrestricted right to live and work in Australia. Ability to undertake some international and domestic travel as required. Ideal Candidate (Optional) Membership with Engineers Australia or equivalent. Experience in food processing equipment design to EHEDG or 3A standards. Knowledge of international compliance standards (CE, FDA, EC, GMP, ATEX, IECEx).
