Queensland Parks & Wildlife Service – Townsville QLD Permanent AO5 Senior Ranger (Estates Management) negotiable in Central Region - Mackay, Townsville or Rockhampton preferred. As an AO5 Senior Ranger (Estates) you will oversee managing resource use which can include grazing, mining, fossicking, infrastructure and native forest harvesting. Tenure-related issues and coordinating compliance activities on QPWS&P managed estates, are also functions of this role. This role supports natural and cultural resource management, multiple use management, legislative and regulatory compliance and education. You will conduct assessments (both desktop and in field) prepare technical reports, liaise with industry and stakeholders and prepare written authorities with conditions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and technical skills are required for this role. Previous experience in environmental assessment, permitting, auditing, interpreting legislation and Geographical Information Systems (GIS) will be highly regarded.
