Experienced Pastry Chef

We are seeking an Experienced Pastry Chef to join our talented team at thoroughbread' in Sutherland NSW 2232. As a full-time Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually appealing pastries, cakes, and other baked goods that delight our customers. What you'll be doing Preparing and baking a variety of pastries, cakes, and other baked goods according to recipes and customer specifications Ensuring all baked items meet high quality standards for taste, presentation, and consistency Collaborating with the head chef to develop new and innovative pastry recipes and menu items Maintaining a clean and organised work station, as well as adhering to food safety and hygiene standards Assisting with inventory management and ordering of necessary ingredients and supplies Providing guidance and mentorship to junior members of the pastry team What we're looking for Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role within the Bakers & Pastry Chefs industry Strong understanding of baking techniques, food science, and the ability to troubleshoot issues Experience & knowledge laminating french style pastry / viennoiserie Excellent attention to detail and a passion for creating visually appealing and delicious pastries Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Excellent time management and multitasking skills Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification We pride ourselves on using the finest, freshest ingredients to create an array of mouthwatering pastries, breads, and other baked goods.
