About the Role Sigma Healthcare is seeking a Communications Specialist to join our dynamic Corporate Affairs team. This role offers the opportunity to lead and deliver thoughtful, high‑impact external communications in a collaborative and supportive environment. Working as part of a close‑knit team of three, alongside the Head of Corporate Affairs, the Communications Specialist will bring unique expertise to the Sigma Healthcare brand and business. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Affairs, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and managing external communications for the Sigma Healthcare brand, working closely with a small, supportive team. This role focuses on external communications for Sigma Healthcare, including managing brand reputation and risk, overseeing the content on the external‑facing website, supporting crisis communications, and contributing to public‑facing materials such as the annual report and brand guidelines. In addition, the role will collaborate with the Chemist Warehouse Public Relations team to support their external communications. What does a typical day look like? Developing and delivering clear, engaging, and on‑brand communications across digital, print, and social platforms across the entire portfolio of brands. Creating compelling content for key corporate documents, including the Annual Report and Sustainability Report. Supporting investor relations communications, including presentations and event materials. Maintaining and enhancing Sigma Healthcare’s external website and social media presence to showcase our business and culture. Assisting in crisis communication planning and execution to protect and strengthen Sigma’s reputation. Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure messaging aligns with business objectives and brand standards. Monitoring media activity and providing insights to inform proactive communication strategies. Who are we looking for? The role doesn’t have direct reports, however it will play a key part of a team that values mutual support and shared capability. Confidence and self‑sufficiency – you know how to get started and when to seek input. Ability to craft clear, concise, and engaging content for diverse audiences. Strong written and verbal communication skills. A passion for brand storytelling and stakeholder engagement. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with digital communication tools such as eDM platforms and social media, for example LinkedIn. Proficiency in using online tools such as SharePoint, Google Analytics, MailChimp, Canva as well as content management systems would be highly advantageous. Why Join us?
