Role Description We are seeking a motivated Contract Administrator to join our team in a full-time, on-site role based in Melbourne, VIC. The Contract Administrator will be responsible for overseeing contract preparation, negotiation, and management processes. Key responsibilities include reviewing and interpreting contracts, maintaining accurate documentation, managing procurement activities, and coordinating with project stakeholders. The role requires strong communication skills to ensure seamless collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders throughout all project phases. Qualifications Proficient in contract management and contract negotiation 1–3 years’ experience in Contract Administration within the construction industry (residential preferred) Strong understanding of procurement and vendor/subcontractor management Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and civil working drawings High level of attention to detail , strong analytical skills , and effective problem‑solving ability Experience preparing, reviewing, and maintaining contracts , scopes of work , purchase orders , and variations Ability to track and manage project budgets , cost reports, and financial logs Familiarity with construction compliance requirements , including permits, insurances, warranties, OHS documentation, and relevant regulatory obligations Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal , with the ability to liaise confidently with clients, architects, engineers, suppliers, and trades Proficient in preparing and managing RFIs , tender requests, and quote comparisons Solid understanding of construction timelines , sequencing, and typical on‑site processes Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, competing deadlines, and varying priorities Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), with the ability to quickly learn project management software — preference for candidates familiar with Procore or similar building management software Must be located within a commutable distance to Burwood, Victoria Must have full Australian working rights Preferred Skills & Qualifications Knowledge of construction industry standards and practices (residential construction advantageous) Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines efficiently Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management , Quantity Surveying, or a related field (preferred but not essential) Seniority Level Entry level Employment Type Full‑time Job Function Management and Manufacturing #J-18808-Ljbffr
