Aegis Health Care is looking for a Clinical Nurse Specialist Perioperative to join our dedicated team and help us deliver exceptional high-quality surgical care. This senior leadership role will be a vital part of our Perioperative and CSSD team focusing on providing expert clinical support and education particularly within our Endoscopy Suite. What You’ll Do As a senior clinical leader your responsibilities will include: Clinical Expertise: Apply your advanced clinical judgment to provide expert evidence-based care in the Endoscopy Suite. Leadership & Mentorship: Lead daily operations, manage staffing and guide junior nurses, registered nurses and enrolled nurses. You’ll be a mentor and a resource for problem-solving and conflict resolution. Quality & Safety: Champion a culture of safety by implementing best‑practice guidelines, participating in quality improvement initiatives and ensuring compliance with all relevant standards. Operational Excellence: Coordinate with surgeons, anaesthetists and other support services to optimize workflow and ensure efficient resource management. Strategic Support: Assist the Procedural Services Manager with key management functions including recruitment, performance reviews and professional development planning. What We’re Looking For Essential Qualifications & Experience Current RN Registration: You must be a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA). Experience: A minimum of 3 years of recent experience as a Scrub / Scout nurse in a perioperative setting is required. Clinical Skills: Proven clinical competence and deep surgical knowledge with the ability to respond effectively to emergencies. Professionalism: A strong work ethic, punctuality, integrity and a commitment to professional standards. Proficiency: Excellent problem‑solving, organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal). Desirable Skills Postgraduate Qualification: A postgraduate qualification in Perioperative Nursing (Scrub / Scout), Clinical Education or a related field would be a great asset. Leadership Experience: Experience in a leadership role or involvement in quality improvement initiatives is highly valued. Knowledge & Development: A keen interest in staying up-to-date with emerging trends in surgical practices, technology and infection prevention. Credentialing Requirements Current eligibility to work in Australia. Valid Police Clearance and Working with Children Check. Successful identification check.
