These simple things can assist older people to stay well, engaged and living independently in their community. If you can spare a few hours a week or fortnight to drive one of our lovely vehicles, as part of our Wangara based team, and help your community in the northern suburbs to enjoy life, call and connect with us – we promise you will be appreciated. What You’ll Do Pick up, accompany and take home one of our lovely clients (up to 2–3 hours total time commitment) Show care and kindness Be their friendly travel buddy for appointments, activities and special outings Share a laugh, a chat and maybe even a good playlist Availability Wednesday 9:00 am – noonorWednesday 12:30 pm – 3:00 pmorThursday 9:00 am – noonorThursday 12:30 pm – 3:00 pm Who You Are A safe, reliable driver with a current licence (Volunteers utilise modern People Who Care vehicles) A friendly nature and patient approach If you are ready to roll? Come join us together – we can keep our community moving Category: Seniors & Aged Care Commitment: Regular – less than 6 months Type of Work: Companionship & Social Support, Driving & Transportation, Seniors & Aged Care Time Required: We are seeking people able to provide one service, assisting one older person with their social support needs. The time commitment is not more than 3 hours, from start to finish, one or twice a fortnight. For those wanting to help more, we can accommodate. Training: This role is supported by our Team Leader of Volunteer Drivers at Wangara – any required training will be provided.
