About The Role This operational role contributes to the success of the City by working alongside crews in the horticultural maintenance of high-profile parks, reserves and streetscapes within Hobart. The Team Leader Parks continually monitors, reviews and improves horticultural practices and work programs, ensuring the delivery of high-quality open space services to the community. Role Accountabilities Include Providing leadership and direction within the parks operations unit. Implement and supervise work programs and promoting contemporary horticultural practices. Assist the co-ordinator in the development of annual programs for the Parks unit. Delivering high-level customer service to ratepayers and community representatives. Promoting and ensuring compliance with Work Health and Safety and Child and Youth Safety standards. About You You are an experienced horticulturalist and a hands-on leader with a passion for horticulture and public spaces. You bring: Proven experience leading horticultural teams in high-profile parks. Strong planning and organisational skills to implement effective work programs. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. A collaborative and safety-focused approach to team leadership. Certificate III in Horticulture or a related field. A current Driver Licence and Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (or willingness to obtain). Desirable qualifications include a Medium Rigid Driver Licence, Basic Traffic Control, First Aid, and ChemCert.
