About The Role: Sutherland Community Hub, Part time, 42hours per fortnight. Must be available Tuesday to Friday,9.00am to 3.00pm. Our hub offers a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities ina centre-based environment that assists with developing andimproving social, living and lifestyle skills. Our sensory,cooking, exercise, creative, relaxation and garden zones ensurethere is something for everyone. About you We are looking for creative and proactive individuals to jointhe team. Whilst advantageous, no direct experience is required – webelieve that the right attitude and a strong passion for clientengagement are the most important qualities If you are someone whothrives on building meaningful relationships, providingencouragement, and creating an inclusive environment, this role isfor you. Your success in this role will rely on your ability to bepatient, caring and passionate about helping others. You will need to: Be comfortable in completing all types of personal careincluding toileting, showering and grooming. Conduct various manual handling taks. Be committed to supporting people with disability to reachtheir full potential. Have an open mind and think outside the box Have a positive can-do attitude, creating best practiceoutcomes for the people you support. Essential for this role Active listening and observations skills. Sound computer skills. Preferred Experience in providing care services in disability, healthor community sector. Qualification in Disability, Community or IndividualSupport. Successful applicants will require an Australian DriversLicence, and a current First Aid Certificate. An offer will be besubject to a police clearance, a pre-employment medical and a NDISWorker Screening Check.
