Warehouse Operator

Location: Bayside Furniture, NorlaneEmployment Type: Full-time (38 hours per week)Salary: Based on experience + superannuation Warehouse Operator & Deliveries About the Role We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operator / Delivery Driver to join our team. This is a hands‑on and varied position involving warehouse operations, forklift driving, assistance with deliveries within 2 hours of Melbourne, and some admin and office support. You'll play an important role in keeping the warehouse running smoothly, ensuring goods are received, stored, and dispatched efficiently and safely. Key Responsibilities Warehouse Operations Load and unload trucks and shipping containers using a forklift (must hold a valid forklift licence) Receive and check incoming stock against delivery dockets Place goods into warehouse pallet racking and maintain organised storage areas Prepare orders for dispatch Maintain accurate stock condition and assist with stocktakes and inventory control Keep the warehouse clean, well maintained, report damaged or missing stock Adhere to Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) and Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) policies and procedures Delivery and Transport Assist delivery driver with deliveries when necessary to customers using a company vehicle (manual licence preferred) Ensure all loads are safely and securely restrained before transport Provide professional, friendly service when delivering goods to customers Maintain delivery paperwork accurately and return signed dockets. Administration and Office Support Print and organise labels, and delivery documentation Support the office team with customer enquiries, order tracking, and filing when needed Record and report inventory or delivery discrepancies promptly Other Duties Assist with furniture assembly as required Be willing to learn new and varied skills, including but not limited to, basic cabinet making/repairs and assist other team members when required Skills and Experience Current forklift licence (essential) Current driver’s licence Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or delivery is an advantage Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks Strong attention to detail and accuracy Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team Good communication and organisational skills Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient workplace What We Offer Full-time, secure employment (38 hours per week) Supportive and friendly team environment A varied role combining warehouse, delivery, and admin tasks Opportunities to learn new skills and grow within the company On-the-job training and ongoing development How to Apply If you're dependable, hands‑on, and looking for a stable long‑term position, we'd love to hear from you.
