Job Overview The Attorney‑General, the Hon Michelle Rowland MP, is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified persons for appointment as judges of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (FCFCOA) (Divisions 1 and 2). Applications are sought for Division 1 and Division 2 vacancies that will arise in the Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Hobart, Parramatta and Newcastle registries of the FCFCOA across family law and general federal law jurisdictions. This process will also be used to fill any additional vacancies in the FCFCOA that arise across the next 18 months. Qualifications meet the legislative requirements for statutory appointment have deep expertise in the areas of law likely to come before the judges possess exceptional legal, organisational, decision‑making and communication skills are committed to serving all members of our community The Government particularly encourages applications from candidates who would contribute to the FCFCOA reflecting the diversity of the community it serves.
