Technical Maintenance Supervisor

Overview Ventia is seeking qualified Technical Maintenance Supervisors to join our team on a full-time basis. The role supports Ventia’s Defence Base Services contract at HMAS Stirling in Western Australia and contributes to national defence capability in a dynamic and rewarding environment. Location: HMAS Stirling, WA, Australia. This is an internal opportunity to support your growth within the business. Responsibilities Oversee planned maintenance and repair works, including audits and optimisation of assets. Provide ongoing support and leadership to the trades and maintenance team. Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and Defence contracts. Actively supports and participates in transformation programs. Ensure work order allocation to timesheets is accurate. Oversees contractor safety frameworks including SWMS and onsite compliance with Ventia Critical Risk Protocols. Proactive contractor management of key performance metrics within the month. Ensure contractual compliance through site assessments and initiate necessary work orders or quotes. Manage client requests and feedback, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication. About You Relevant Technical Trade certification. Proven experience in operational leadership within Defence or similar complex environments. Working knowledge of WHS legislation, WHS committees and safety culture development. Demonstrated experience supervising subcontractors and liaising directly with clients. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Proficient computer skills—intermediate level in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. A valid C-class driver's license. Current Australian drivers licence (Advantageous). Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance. Australian Citizenship required; willingness to undertake and maintain a satisfactory Australian Federal Police check.
