About you You’re a qualified HSE professional who is confident in guiding teams through change and fostering a positive safety culture. With strong prioritisation skills, you manage competing demands effectively while maintaining focus on safety outcomes. A clear communicator, you can present to groups, write with clarity, and deliver practical, easy-to-follow solutions. Resourceful and proactive, you think on your feet, solve problems efficiently, and find answers even when they’re not immediately obvious. Job Requirements What you'll be doing You’ll be responsible for facilitating a positive safety culture where people feel knowledgeable, empowered, and supported to meet their Health, Safety, and Environmental obligations. Your role includes managing and maintaining site-based HSE systems such as Chemalert, MAXIMO, and a suite of HSE policies and procedures. You’ll work across a broad stakeholder group, managing relationships at all levels, and ensuring effective engagement in both field operations and HSE administration. What you'll need Bachelor’s degree in Health, Safety & Environment or related field. Significant HSE experience in Oil & Gas or Major Hazard Facilities. Proficient in gas testing (Inert / BTEX / Ammonia). Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Must have experience with HSE reporting and management systems. Job Responsibilities Be the on-site HSE expert, advising leaders, supporting safety projects, and driving safety culture. Coach frontline teams, oversee contractors, and manage daily safety issues in the field. Coordinate incident investigations, hazard reporting, and compliance activities. Assist with Occupational Hygiene activities, such as gas testing and noise monitoring. Maintain and improve HSE and Contractor Management systems (Chemalert, MAXIMO, MYOSH Viking) and documentation. Run toolbox talks, emergency drills, and HSE forums. Track performance, report KPIs, and support continuous improvement. Collaborate with the wider HSE team to deliver site-wide programs and keep training up to date.
