The Role As a Purchasing Officer you will be joining our team, responsible for procurement activities required to meet the purchasing/procurement requirements of all company departments. The position will focus on the timely validation, input and processing of invoices received from external suppliers/contractors that support our diverse and growing business. Duties Validating and processing invoices as part of the procure to pay process Managing vendor queries to resolve issues efficiently Communicating and negotiating with new and existing vendors in relation to payment terms and other vendor portfolio requirements Managing high-volume shared email inbox Collaborating with internal stakeholders in relation to all vendor payment queries Assisting with goods receipting of Purchase Orders Supporting other procurement activities as required Solving problems by recommending and implementing the most efficient solution About You The successful candidate will have similar experience, ideally in a mining, mining contracting, electrical or similar business. You will be able to maintain quality and attention to detail when working to deadlines in a fast paced high volume environment and be able to work effectively as part of a team with a willingness to share work as required. Desired Skills and Qualifications Experience using ERP systems Knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Outlook Experience and training in Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance or Accounts Payable A related tertiary qualification in Commerce, Accounting, Engineering is advantageous #J-18808-Ljbffr
