To 2025, HPPL has significantly invested in its energy business Hancock Energy has a full-time opportunity for an experienced Environmental Manager. This role has a broad remit including Environment, Cultural Heritage, Stakeholder Engagement and Regulatory Approvals that supports Hancock Energy’s objective to efficiently manage and develop its energy assets. The development, implementation, and management of all aspects to promote and ensure the industry best standards are achieved by all Hancock Energy activities. In this role, you will lead a team and establish an Environment, Cultural Heritage, Stakeholder and Regulatory Approvals strategy and function to provide oversight regarding compliance exploration and development of Hancock Energy assets. Key responsibilities: Develop, implement and manage Environment, Cultural Heritage, Stakeholder, Regulatory Approvals and Permit Management strategies, processes, reporting and management systems, inclusive of data collection, analysis, and preparation for submission of reports and information to Regulatory authorities and stakeholders Manage the maintenance of Environment, Cultural Heritage, Stakeholder, Regulatory Approvals and Permit Management documentation and records, including industry best policies and procedures Manage Hancock Energy’s integration of Environment, Cultural Heritage, Stakeholder, Regulatory Approvals and Permit Management strategies and obligations into planning and implementation of projects, including development of strategies inclusive of risk and mitigation measure identification and schedules Develop Hancock Energy’s Environment and Regulatory reporting processes to staff, management, Regulatory Authorities and stakeholders, as required Manage the relevant Permit obligations, reporting and requirements, inclusive of liaison and coordination with DMPE and internal stakeholders (i.e. technical, legal and finance) ensure that management is kept informed and appraised as pertinent. Identify requirements, prepare, negotiate and secure land access and compensation agreements where relevant Undertake Environment and Regulatory data analysis to identify trends and issues, and identify where Environment and Regulatory risk may be mitigated Accountability for governance and assurance processes so that Environment and Regulatory compliance and stakeholder expectations are met if not exceeded Coordinating with Hancock Energy contractors and service providers, facilitating the flow of information to mitigate risk and achieve HSE, stakeholder and Regulatory goals and outcomes Develop and execute the overall Hancock Energy Environment, Cultural Heritage, Stakeholder, Regulatory Approvals and Permit Management strategy, for continuous improvement of performance Develop, maintain and implement an Internal Audit Program Lead incident investigation teams using appropriate tools, drafting and distributing comprehensive incident investigation reports Undertake regular facility and site visits and support senior management with their planned visits / inspections. Experience required: Minimum 15 years experience in Environment, Cultural Heritage, Stakeholder Engagement, Regulatory Approvals and related fields in energy or energy infrastructure sectors including oil and gas and electricity. Team lead / management experience Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) Familiar with RapidGlobal Induct (or similar) and X-Info Connect (XIC) (or similar) Proficient in PGR, EARS and Tengraph (DMPE online systems) Knowledgeable in ArcGIS and similar programs Knowledge of State and Federal Work Health and Safety, environmental and Cultural Heritage legislation and regulations Apply now to join our team and contribute to the future success of Hancock Energy.
