What you’ll be doing We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Assistant/Technician to join our team at St George Hospital Pharmacy. This position is a permanent full‑time position. You’ll be part of a team facilitating the provision and further development of the pharmacy service to patients and clients of the organisation, including undertaking advanced practice roles to enable the pharmacists to focus on clinical pharmacy services. You will be part of an integral team, assisting in different operational areas such as dispensary, outpatients, stores and the cancer care centre. Whilst full‑time is preferred, part‑time and job‑share arrangements may be considered for appropriate candidates. Selection Criteria Recognised qualifications in the field or qualifications deemed by the employer to be equivalent (as per award) will enable appointment as a Pharmacy Assistant Grade 2 or as a Pharmacy Technician Grade 1 or 2. Demonstrated understanding and experience of dispensing/issuing of pharmaceuticals in a hospital or community pharmacy setting or equivalent experience. Ability to perform mathematical calculations. Experience with information technology and familiarity with the use of pharmacy software e.g. iPharmacy system. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to understand and adhere to all legislative requirements. Attention to detail and accuracy in undertaking all tasks. Ability to work as part of a team. Need more information?
