About the opportunity The Omnichannel Team builds and maintains the front-line systems that connect us to the Australian public. We are looking for a hands-on technical leader to join our team. This role involves leading a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorship, and contributing to design and estimations to the technology leadership group to support new / existing business. Key responsibilities Serve as the subject matter expert on multiple software development technologies related to modern full-stack development and distributed systems. Design, build, and help maintain / operate our solutions and AWS backend. Lead different projects ensuring alignment to business and roadmap priorities. Provide end-to-end support for issues that go beyond the core product. Foster an innovative environment and lead the team by example in developing optimal solutions and unblocking challenges. What you will bring to the role 8+ years of hands‑on experience in software engineering and distributed solution design on cloud platforms. 5+ years of experience leveraging AWS for secure and cost-effective data and backend solutions. Strong experience with technologies such as .NET / Power‑platform development, Typescript / NodeJs, functional programming, automation via Pulumi, CDK, CloudFormation, REST API design principles, RPC design principles, React, and related technologies for UI implementations. Demonstrable experience in managing, coaching, and mentoring a team of engineers.
