Urban Building Solutions Pty Ltd (UBS) is a growing insurance building company within the ARA Group with a large portfolio of national insurance clients within strata, commercial and residential sectors. With our head office in Sydney's Inner West and a regional office in Sandgate, Newcastle. UBS operates in Sydney and Newcastle extending south to Batemans Bay and north up to the Queensland border. We have recently expanded our operation into Southern Queensland from the NSW Northern Rivers to the Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast and Brisbane and are looking for an experienced Project Manager (Estimator/Site Supervisor) to join our newly established Queensland team based in the Gold Coast. With an office base in Loganholme. In this role you will be an integral member of the UBS team reporting to the General Manager. As this role covers a large geographical region, travel will be required at times within Northern NSW and Southern Queensland. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Project Manager who has estimating and supervision experience. You will bring to the role your local experience together with a diverse network of reliable sub‑contractors who will deliver quality work consistent with the UBS brand. In this new role you will have the sole responsibility of daily management of jobs with support provided by the office‑based administration team. As this is a dual role you will also need thorough building knowledge to enable you provide estimates for both major and minor loss projects. Previous strata experience is preferred. The role will require you to work closely with our clients, administration team, suppliers, and sub‑contractors to ensure the best possible outcome for our clients and customers. A fully paid company vehicle including personal usage A friendly and supportive team environment Flexible working including limited working from home opportunities once training has been completed Duties & Responsibilities: Day‑to‑day supervision of jobs throughout the construction cycle Direct and regular contact with clients, customers and sub‑contractors to ensure all parties are kept informed of the progress of the job Ensure jobs commence and are completed within the allocated time frame and to budget Responsibility to procure trades from the UBS trade list with the ability to use your own trades subject to performance Ensure WHS requirements are met Detailed review of assigned inspections to ensure you are prepared for the site visit Liaise and coordinate with third parties including but not limited to strata managers, property managers, owners, tenants and sub‑contractors to obtain the required information Attend inspections in accordance with the claim inquiry to report and/or quote on the damages found and repairs required Compose accurate and detailed causation reports and quotes in order to win tenders with insurers and adjustors Build and maintain professional relationships with third‑party contractors and clients such as claims staff, adjusters, and strata managers Education & Qualifications: Valid Driver's License White card A Queensland building license is preferred but not essential Experience & Knowledge: Minimum 5 years proven experience in a similar site supervisor role – insurance industry experience is required You will understand the commercial aspects of your role, particularly related to competitive tendering of trades and timely completion of jobs Excellent relationship management & communication skills, both written and verbal A highly organised approach and attention to detail Intermediate level of computer skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) Established trade network/connections in Southern Queensland is required If you believe you have the qualities/attitude and skill set to succeed, together with the ability to positively promote the UBS brand at all times, apply now #J-18808-Ljbffr
