The goal for our Associate’s is to learn the business Your initial 6-months is key in developing your skills and understanding the dynamics of JD Sports from an operational, commercial and People management perspective. And most importantly, how you can utilise your unique skillset within the business.The Associate Manager is an additional management position, working in partnership with our existing management teams for our flagship stores. The objective of this role is to give you the opportunity to be trained and upskilled, ensuring you are prepared and ready for your next step in your JD journey, as a Store Manager.You will also be responsible for, but not limited to the following:Work in partnership with your collaborating Store ManagerLead by example and set management expectations across your teamManage all levels of performance, providing support and training where requiredTrain, mentor, and coach Team Members to work towards professional goals and succession planningManage team (Shop Floor & Back of House) to ensure tasks are completed in an efficient and effective mannerProblem solving and ability to readily provide solutionsProduce and analyse required financial reports – i.e., PayrollSupport with the overall growth of the business in line with our global visionProactive approach in loss prevention management i.e., Stock shrinkageEnsure mannequins, displays and windows are updated in accordance with Visual Merchandising guidelinesWork in partnership with your Visual Merchandise team to make commercial based decisions regarding stock presentation/placementWho You AreAn experienced and versatile retailer with a minimum of 3-5 years' management experience in a flagship retail environmentExperience in training, coaching, and developing team membersLearned experience in successfully driving and exceeding set KPI'sExperience in effectively managing rosters and wage controlElevated level of written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage competing priorities, tasks, and overall expectationsWhat’s in it for you?Work with some of the best product and biggest sports fashion brands in the marketTraining and development to evolve and shape your careerOpportunity to progress across all areas of the business including Retail, Support Office, and our Distribution CentreTreat yourself with our attractive staff discount This can also be used for friends and familyAccess to our Employee Assistance Program & Mental Health championsOne month paid parental leavefor full-time employeesWe are passionate about connecting with skilled and dynamic individuals who are invested in their development, so that together we can evolve our brand's success, alongside evolving your career.What are you waiting for?
