Executive Assistant To The Academic Director And Chief Operating Officer

Full time, fixed term until 31st December – Secondment Backfill Drive executive support, strategy, and events in a dynamic academic environment Base Salary $112,628 + 17% superannuation As the Executive Assistant, you will work closely with the newly appointed Academic Director and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Charlie Perkins Centre, ensuring seamless administrative operations and strategic project execution. This role plays a key part in supporting the Centre's strategy, managing executive functions, and facilitating stakeholder engagement across the University. Responsibilities Provides broad, high‑level professional executive support to the Academic Director and COO. Effectively manages daily office operations and administrative activity. Provides extensive diary management for the Academic Director. Supports the Academic Director and CHO in the CPC. Manages the general day‑to‑day office operations and administration activities. Coordinates diaries, meetings, and events, including travel and conferences. Provides project officer support for projects implementing the Centre's strategy and operations. Builds and manages effective working rapport with key stakeholders and staff across the University. About you This is an exciting opportunity to provide high‑level executive and project support within a dynamic academic environment. Qualifications Previous experience in the higher education sector. Demonstrated experience in executive support and project support. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem‑solving skills. Well‑developed negotiation, conflict resolution, relationship building, and influencing skills with senior‑level stakeholders. Proven experience in handling a wide range of enquiries and providing good customer service. Ability to use initiative. Experience in financial management of projects, managing budgets, and controlling income and expenditure. Sponsorship / work rights for Australia. Must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to be eligible to apply. Visa sponsorship is not available for this appointment.
