The Jetstream group of companies is a diverse fast-paced organisation offering services in electrical contracting , fuel installations and maintenance, and air charter in Darwin, remote areas ,NT/WA and beyond.We are seeking a Finance /Office Manager based in Darwin to provide direct support to the Managing Director over a broad range of tasks in a dynamic environment.The successful applicant will be motivated to continuous quality improvement and refining internal processes across the group.About the RoleProvide a high level of assistance to the Managing Director in a multitude of tasksDaily job and costing review to ensure invoicing is completed weekly.HR and payroll and comprehensive understanding of Fair Work and Awards complianceMonitor and manage cash flow, debtors and creditor accounts, expenses, budgets, and purchase orders.Conduct reviews and ensure payments are made and received on time, and to the agreed rates.Preparation of BAS, payroll tax returns and monthly reconciliationsProvide administration support to the operations team and in field techniciansAssist with asset acquisitions, fleet management and all business insurancesManagement accounting reports in a timely manner and preparation of financial reports for tenders and contract applicationsManage a small administration team and provide admin relief when team members are on leavePreparation of end of year financial accounts for external accountant reviewYour qualities and skillsKnowledge of business and managementprinciples and practices demonstrated by experience in a similar roleAdvanced bookkeeping skills essentialTertiary qualifications in accounting or business administration preferred.Advanced skills and knowledge of the Microsoft Office suiteand ability to adapt and use a range of softwareExperience with MYOB and simPRO highly regardedAdaptable in a varied role that may be subjected to changeAbility to deal with confidential and sensitive material in appropriate mannerThe ability to coordinate multiple administration tasks/processes with tight deadlines and limited supervision.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years' experience do you have as a Finance and Office Manager?Report this job advert
