Verbotics is a Wollongong‑based startup developing innovative software to automatically program welding robots. Our technology dramatically reduces the effort and cost associated with creating industrial robot programs, unlocking welding automation for high‑mix production. We are looking for a Robotic Welding Technician to join our team and help with real‑world system implementation, customer onboarding, support, and technical documentation. This is an opportunity to join a small energetic team in a role that will grow and scale with the company. You will work out of our office in Wollongong in a flexible hybrid work environment, and travel to customer sites to assist with onboarding. Role and Responsibilities Customer OnboardingLead onboarding of new customer workcells, both remotely and in person. Create workcell 3D models, work with customers for workcell calibration and configuration, and acceptance testing. Robotic System DevelopmentAssist with robot functionality development to integrate new robots and enhance existing robots with the Verbotics Weld offline programming software. Technical DocumentationCreate documentation and procedures, primarily for system onboarding and robot integration. Customer and Sales SupportDeliver software usage training. Assist with technical customer enquiries. Assist with technical sales presentations. Essential Criteria Experience with programming and operating robotic welding equipment (e.g. ABB, FANUC, Yaskawa…) Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills. Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. Strong technical ability Experience with 3D CAD software. Ability to travel for onboarding and customer support within Australia. Desirable Criteria Experience in welding. Experience with multiple industrial robot/cobot brands. Experience with robotic workcell design.
