Pastoral Care Volunteer, Community Home Visits, Birrong NSW HammondCare pastoral care volunteers have an opportunity to support the spiritual and emotional needs of the elderly residents living in their home. As a pastoral care volunteer you’ll be actively involved with a local Christian church. Responsibilities Support people to meet their spiritual needs Nurture spiritual development Skills required High level of interpersonal skills, including strong empathy and listening skills. Pastoral Care training (e.g., Chaplaincy, Clinical Pastoral Education) or completion of HammondCare pastoral care training – Spiritual Care Series. Your impact Volunteering alongside Pastoral Care can be a rewarding experience for both the person you visit and yourself. Regular visits from volunteers help to improve quality of life and reduce isolation.
