What You Will Do As a Senior Mechanical Engineer , you will: Deliver high-quality mechanical solutions that comply with all applicable business and regulatory requirements, either independently or as part of the mechanical development team. Demonstrate a strong understanding of system design objectives (cost, performance) and constraints (manufacturability, feasibility), guiding the decisions of the mechanical teams accordingly. Lead the development of instrument mechanical architecture and ensure the quality of group mechanical deliverables. Establish, implement, and manage build activities within Invetech staged development programs. Set, track, and forecast budgets for project mechanical effort. Lead the mechanical team to deliver quality outcomes on time and within budget. Manage suppliers and stakeholders to achieve project and business outcomes. Provide support for product- and in-field–related issues as required. Contribute to other duties as directed, supporting cross-functional project success. What You Will Bring In addition, we require the following skills and experience: Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. At least 6 years of relevant experience in product development, including complex electro‑mechanical devices. Extensive experience across the product development lifecycle, with demonstrated ability to deliver outcomes in regulated environments. Experience developing equipment for use in cleanroom and cGMP environments (highly regarded). Demonstrated design expertise in at least one of the following disciplines: robotics, fluidics, optics, mechanisms, plastic moulding, structures, thermal control. Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks). Strong knowledge of diverse manufacturing methods and experience working with suppliers. Proven track record of generating technical documents including design descriptions, test plans, and reports. Ability to lead, train, mentor, and coach others effectively. Positive, self‑motivated disposition with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
