Support Worker (Home Care) - North Region People Who Care is a not for profit organisation with over 45 years of service. We partner to provide support to older people, those with a disability or people who are facing a social crisis. What's on offer: Opportunity for a suitably experienced Support Worker Based in North Metro. area (including Glendalough, Inglewood and Scarborough/surrounding areas) Part-time role - $32.86 per hour (Level 2) or $34.59 (Level 3) per hour + Salary Packaging options and Superannuation Friendly and supportive team working with a positive workplace culture Our Home Care services (CHSP, VHC and HCP) empower older people and veterans to live safely whilst enjoying as much independence as possible within their own homes. You will provide individualised care tailored to the needs of each client and their families. Permanent Part time: 5 days (Monday to Friday): 9.00am - 2.00pm Primary responsibilities: Meal assistance, including shopping and meal preparation Transport and accompaniment, including shopping trips and appointments Social support & activities, including outings and social activities Personal care, including assistance with personal grooming, hygiene, bathing, dressing Provide support for health conditions, including skin care, medication reminders and diabetes management Assistance with mobility Domestic assistance, including cleaning and laundry What you will need: A kind, caring and respectful approach to service provision Certificate III in Aged Care / Individual Support (or similar) or equivalent experience Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively in both a team environment and independently with minimal supervision Ability to work with individuals from a range of social, financial and cultural backgrounds Strong communication and interpersonal skills Current driver's license and reliable car Current national police check (not older than 6 months) Prior experience in a similar role in the community/home care (desirable) or Disability/Residential care How to apply: Applications should include aresumeand preferably a briefcover letteroutlining your suitability for the role.
