As part of our 2025/2026 Graduate Program, we are recruiting for a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our Building Engineering Servies Team, based in either Sydney or Melbourne. You will participate in meaningful, on the job training within your technical field of specialty to support your career path and be given the opportunity to network and connect across our global organisation. In the role of a Graduate Engineer, we'll count on you to: Work across the teams to produce designs, reports and other associated project engineering work. Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional engineer or Project Manager. Develop your engineering and delivery skills. Apply engineering techniques and procedures. Be a team player with ambition to learn, lead, develop and improve team members. Contribute to building a strong, diverse organisation that embraces inclusion with respect and appreciation for the value we each bring to our clients and to HDR. Give your full commitment to HDR’s Values Take active leadership towards safety. Perform other duties as needed. About You Undertaking a relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mechanical), or similar. Graduated before January 2026. 0-2 years' relevant work experience. Strong interest in building engineering services. Passion for learning and commitment to developing your skills. Previous experience as an undergraduate in a consulting environment – advantageous Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel and Word. Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
