PR & Comms Lead - Maximum Term Contract (12 months)

The Opportunity We’re looking for a PR & Communications Lead to join the M+C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment team on a 12-month maximum-term contract. This role will lead integrated PR and influencer strategies, drawing on strong knowledge of the Australian media landscape. You’ll shape and grow our PR and Comms offering, lead and develop the team, and build trusted relationships with journalists, media, talent, and clients. The role spans sport, music, entertainment and culture, requiring confident pitching, strategic thinking, and the ability to deliver both brand impact and commercial outcomes.

A snapshot of what you'll do Define and evolve S&E’s Communications service offering based on industry trends, client opportunities and the competitor landscape. Identify the strengths and gaps of the agency’s Communications team and capability and work with the MD to ensure agency performance is consistently moving forward and head of industry competitors. Contribute to setting the Agency’s strategy vision and ensure your team understand and embodies that vision in their behaviours. Work closely with Partnerships, Strategy, Creative and Production Leads to contribute best-in‑class ideas and opportunities to creative briefs and responses.

Lead all PR, comms & influencer always‑on and campaign delivery to ensure we are delivering and exceeding client expectations. Identify Earned opportunities within Group clients – look for the opportunities, and guide M&C Saatchi Group agency partners on best practice earned solutions. Establish trusted relationships with your team and promote a collaborative team‑based culture between departments within the Agency. Lead and grow the PR and Comms team, providing mentorship and guidance across integrated communications including PR & Influencer strategies.

Plus much more Your ideal experience 8+ years experience in a PR and Communications role. Business/Marketing degree or equivalent.

of leading and delivering high‑profile integrated campaigns including PR & Influencer campaigns, delivering outcomes that deliver above client expectation.

Experience

working with key media outlets, talent and relevant brands.

Experience

building and leading relationships across both large and small clients. Proven experience of working collaboratively with Creative, Strategy and Comms teams to develop and sell ideas. Proven experience of working collaboratively within an ‘agency village’. Earned and Social specialism is required and drives Creative thinking where possible.
