Job Title Senior Advisor, Family Health and Wellbeing Location Collingwood, VIC (Hybrid Work Model) Employment Type Full‑time, Fixed‑term (until November 2026) Salary $100,000 to $110,000 + super + NFP salary packaging About VACCHO VACCHO is the peak representative for the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in Victoria. We have 34 member Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations providing support to over 65,000 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across the state. We lead and support Aboriginal Community Control and the broader health and social services sector to deliver transformative health and wellbeing outcomes for Aboriginal communities in Victoria. About The Role Commencing on 21 January 2026, this is a parental leave cover role ending in November 2026. In this Senior Advisor role, the focus is on social and emotional wellbeing while contributing to the design and implementation of ethical frameworks, monitoring approaches, and effective knowledge translation to support key projects within the Aboriginal Families Wellbeing Portfolio and the larger unit. You will have a strong commitment to the principles of decolonisation, Aboriginal self‑determination, and ethical practice to ensure that all work respects and integrates Aboriginal ways of knowing and being. You will use your expertise and stakeholder engagement skills to build and maintain respectful relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders to ensure projects are community‑led and reflect the aspirations of Aboriginal families. Essential Skills & Experiences Competent and confident Senior Advisor with sound judgement, a pragmatic approach to problem‑solving, and strong communication skills. Demonstrated understanding of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander family health and wellbeing and experience working with communities. Strong interpersonal and stakeholder relationship management skills, highly adaptable, comfortable working with ambiguity. Desirable Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples are strongly encouraged to apply as cultural and lived experiences are central to the work we do.
