Position : Grants Manager

Reporting directly to the Head of Impact & Engagement, you will work closely with program, fundraising, finance and regional teams to secure multi‑year grants from trusts & foundations, state / local government, multilateral agencies and philanthropic institutions. Key Responsibilities Identify, research and prioritise grant opportunities (outside DFAT / Australian Aid) that align with Habitat for Humanity Australia's strategic priorities in Australia and the Asia‑Pacific. Lead the development and submission of high‑quality funding proposals, concept notes, expressions of interest and grant reports (narrative and financial). Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective institutional donors, trusts & foundations and philanthropic partners. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align fundraising opportunities with strategic priorities. Ensure compliance with donor requirements and organisational policies throughout the grant lifecycle. Manage a grants pipeline and calendar, tracking opportunities, deadlines and reporting requirements. Work with the finance team to prepare accurate grant budgets and financial reports. Contribute to the ongoing refinement of Habitat for Humanity Australia's institutional funding strategy (excluding DFAT). Support occasional stewardship or donor visits (virtual or in‑person) as required. Knowledge & Experience Minimum 3 years' experience successfully securing and / or managing institutional grants from trusts & foundations, philanthropic donors, corporate partners or non‑DFAT government sources. Proven track record of writing successful proposals and reports for grants of AUD $50,000+. Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate inputs from multiple stakeholders and meet tight deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail. Experience developing grant budgets and working collaboratively with finance teams. Demonstrated ability to research and analyse funding landscapes and donor priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM / grant management systems. Ability to work autonomously in a small, dynamic team environment. Understanding of international development, housing, WASH or disaster resilience sectors (highly regarded). Present capacity to uphold ethical standards and demonstrate professional integrity. Uphold commitment to continuous learning and adapting to updated safeguarding policies and procedures. Report all safeguarding concerns to Habitat for Humanity's designated Safeguarding Officer. Roles within Habitat for Humanity may involve different levels of direct or indirect exposure to vulnerable groups. The level of safeguarding measures required depends on the nature of the role. This is a low‑exposure role with minimal or no direct contact with vulnerable individuals but still requires safeguarding compliance and training.
