Soi 38 Melbourne, a renowned Thai restaurant located at 38 Royal Ln, Melbourne VIC 3000, is looking for a dedicated full-time chef to join our dynamic team. The role offers a competitive salary of $74,000 plus superannuation. We seek a candidate who: Has experience in crafting high-quality Thai cuisine while maintaining exceptional standards. Follows instructions effectively. Excels in multi-tasking and takes initiative. Is passionate about food. Possesses strong interpersonal skills, staying calm under pressure to enhance team performance. Is eager to contribute to seasonal menu design and continuous dish development. Aims to expand their skills and culinary knowledge by highlighting local produce. This permanent position requires evening and weekend work, including public holidays, and offers a place in an established team with long-term goals and new opportunities. Kitchen responsibilities include: Preparing food for takeaway, a la carte, and function services. Managing food service across all kitchen sections. Overseeing stock control and management. Ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards. The position is open to chefs with a Certificate IV and a Diploma of Hospitality with at least one year of experience.
