Overwatch Traffic Services is seeking Traffic Controllers for an Immediate Start , for Regional projects as well as Metro-based works . We are seeking Traffic Controllers with experience on Highway and Freeway projects, who can implement complex traffic plans, as well as Traffic Controllers who have higher accreditations such as AWTM , WTM and OTMA . With Major Projects and Long-Term Ongoing Projects for both Regional locations and Metro Perth & surrounds on the horizon, Overwatch is looking for interested applicants who have experience in Traffic Control with various projects including Highways and Freeways, events, residential and construction. Overwatch Traffic Services Pty Ltd is a wholly-owned Western Australian Traffic Management business. First established in 2017, we have grown to over 160 employees primarily based in our head office based in Bayswater, with additional depots based in Northam and Kalgoorlie. Applicants without previous experience as a Traffic Controller are welcome to apply, but due to the nature of the role, only applicants with correct and current accreditations/qualifications will be considered (please see required qualifications listed below). Please note that applicants will be required to complete a LabDas Test within 48 hours after attending an interview, using the form provided. Applicants moved to the next stage after an interview will also be requested to submit a recent Police Clearance as part of the onboarding process. Casual employment. Duties will include but not be limited to: Conduct traffic management services in alignment with company processes as well as in accordance with industry regulations and requirements, such as the MRWA Code of Practice, AGTTMs, and Road Traffic Code 2000. Load and unload vehicles with signage & equipment. Implement and monitor the on-site operation of Traffic Management Plans & Traffic Guidance Schemes, to all required safety and quality standards. Monitor traffic behaviour and control traffic flow, as well as flow of pedestrians and cyclists, to ensure the safety of maintenance workers, on-site work crews and members of the public at all times. Use Stop/Slow signage and/or Stop Slow Bats to control traffic. Accurately follow instructions from the Scheduling Team, Operations Manager, Team Leaders, On-Site Foremen, Inspectors and Auditors. Complete Vehicle Pre-Start Checks and Daily Diaries as required. Complete and submit any relevant paperwork for jobsites, including safety inductions, as required. Perform all tasks associated with Traffic Management for Metro and Regional job sites and events. Complete site hazard assessments and check for suitability of control measures for the job site. Promptly report any on-site hazards and/or near misses. Use the Traffic Management Scheduling system – Traffio – to submit forms and dockets, as required. Use a two-way radio to effectively communicate and coordinate with team members. Drive a Visual Message Board or Truck Mounted Attenuator when required (if in possession of relevant & current ticket/license). Required Skills & Qualities Current White Card. Current & valid Driver’s License - WA Licence preferred, but Australian Licence or international Licence from a DoT-recognized country will be considered. AWTM and/or WTM and/or OTMA Accreditation will be highly regarded. Previous experience in Team Leading/Crew Leading will be highly regarded. Focus on safety, with attention to detail and spatial awareness. For inexperienced applicants - a willingness to learn. Any additional industry-relevant training or inductions (eg: WaterCorp or Western Power) will be highly regarded. Any previous experience with Regional works, such as FIFO, DIDO or working for a set period in remote areas, or in regional work areas/positions, will be highly regarded. #J-18808-Ljbffr
