TRAUMA/CRITICAL INCIDENTS - PSYCHOLOGISTS/SOCIAL WORKERS - CONTRACTORS Converge, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Converge International is a wholly Australian owned organisation with the wellbeing of people and their workplaces at the heart of all we do. Overview The role provides Critical Incident Response Services (including emergency response, critical incidents, planned support service, disaster response and incident support forums) using the primary intervention models of Psychological First Aid, stepped care and referral pathways, to support Converge International’s customers. This support is required during an incident or organisational change, and will involve informing the organisations of themes, recommendations, or any internal (customer) process improvements. This role may also include the delivery of Employee Counselling and Training and Consulting Services. We are seeking contractors who are experienced registered Psychologists and Social Workers to provide critical incident and crisis counselling support to our client organisations. Using Psychological First Aid (PFA) and other trauma-specific interventions and approaches to support individuals and their organisations through providing one-on-one trauma support and group sessions. Responsibilities Provide Critical Incident Response Services (emergency response, critical incidents, planned support service, disaster response and incident support forums) Use Psychological First Aid (PFA), stepped care and referral pathways to support clients Support organisations during incidents or organisational change, including identifying themes, making recommendations, and supporting internal process improvements Deliver Employee Counselling, Training and Consulting Services as required Provide one-on-one trauma support and group sessions with clients Qualifications Experience in providing psychosocial interventions, support and counselling Minimum 3 years trauma management and/or relevant consultancy experience Ability to assess workplace issues, identify suitable intervention programs and provide solution-focused advice Passion to help people and ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment Excellent time management, report writing skills, and willingness to travel to client sites for trauma response work Experience delivering People Assist services (EAP, RRS) High level negotiation and facilitation skills Ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders Trained in Psychological First Aid and registered with the appropriate professional body Current driver’s licence and access to a vehicle Why Join Converge?
