Industrial Relations Lead Boeing is seeking an Industrial Relations Lead to be based in a hybrid capacity in Brisbane. The successful candidate will be an on‑ground industrial relations focal for Boeing Australia and a critical member of the International Labor Relations (ILR) team. Job Description This critical role offers a mix of strategy and hands‑on work for a passionate individual who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and prides themselves on relationship‑building and facilitation skills. Your strategic thinking and strong stakeholder engagement capability will make you a strong candidate for this position. You will utilise your industrial relations experience to ensure sound and proactive industrial relations practices are maintained and aligned with our strategic objectives. You will drive effective communication and engagement with employees while also supporting Enterprise Agreement negotiations. You will be responsible for the company‑wide IR strategy, ensuring compliance with labour laws, fostering positive employee relations, and interfacing with all relevant unions to ensure successful delivery of Boeing projects. Due to the nature of this role there may be a requirement to support after‑hours meetings and calls, but flexibility is encouraged. Some domestic travel will be required. Responsibilities Provide sound, pragmatic advice and guidance to the business on industrial relations matters, including interpretation and application of industrial instruments. Take carriage of and provide advice and guidance on the management of disputes and workplace issues. Lead the planning, preparation, management and execution of Enterprise Agreement negotiations. Support management in their dealings with representative unions. Work on various regional and international projects in support of the ILR team. Lead and support business transformation/change projects. Liaise with internal legal counsel for drafting of employment/industrial documentation. Drive, coordinate and administer the organisation’s consultative forums. Develop and facilitate training for first‑line managers in conjunction with the broader human resources team. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) Minimum of 8 years experience in an industrial relations or similar role in a large, complex organisation. Proven experience supporting and advising on organisational transformation and change programmes. Strong working knowledge of the Fair Work Act and other relevant employment/industrial laws. Proven experience understanding and interpreting Enterprise Agreements and awards. Substantial experience dealing with unions and employee representatives. Ability to think strategically in the context of the whole enterprise and strong stakeholder engagement. Applicants must be Australian citizens to meet defence security requirements. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) Tertiary qualifications in law, industrial relations, human resource management, or a related field.
