From business conferences and weddings to luxury celebrations and private events, you’ll work closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to bring world‑class events to life on the doorstep of the Great Barrier Reef. Why you’ll love working with us Make every moment count – coordinate diverse, high‑impact events that inspire and impress Grow your career in paradise – work alongside passionate event professionals in a truly unique setting Enjoy incredible perks – subsidised furnished staff accommodation, discounts on dining, island activities and holidays, plus travel and health insurance discounts Be part of something special – contribute to events that leave lasting memories for guests from around the world Where you’ll make an impact Plan, coordinate and execute a wide range of events across island venues Act as the key liaison for clients, ensuring seamless communication from first contact to final sign‑off Prepare event documentation including itineraries, event orders, and function run sheets Oversee on‑site setup and delivery of events, ensuring every detail meets client expectations Collaborate with internal departments and suppliers to ensure smooth event execution Manage group accounts including invoicing, deposits, and final settlements Conduct site inspections, pre‑event briefings, and post‑event debriefs to continuously improve processes What we’re looking for You’re a motivated and organised events professional with a passion for creating unforgettable experiences. Calm under pressure and always solution‑focused, you’re just as comfortable managing details behind the scenes as you are engaging confidently with clients. To be successful, you’ll need: Diploma in Hospitality or Event Management (Essential) Demonstrated experience in event coordination or hospitality operations (Essential) Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event/CRM systems (Essential) Excellent communication, relationship‑building and organisational skills Flexibility to work varied hours to support events across the island About Hamilton Island Our mission is to share the wonder of Hamilton Island with the world by creating wonder‑filled experiences for our guests, employees and community.
