As we grow, we are seeking a high‑calibre Technical Field Manager to lead and elevate our field operations. About the Role We’re looking for a highly skilled, hands‑on technical leader with deep fibre expertise and broad multi‑technology knowledge. This is a role for someone who can lead teams, solve complex technical challenges, and isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty . The Technical Field Manager will oversee our technical teams, ensure project quality, manage escalations, and provide technical guidance across diverse telecommunications and infrastructure environments. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and develop field technicians and subcontractors Oversee daily field operations, scheduling, resourcing, and job allocation Provide advanced technical troubleshooting on fibre, copper, wireless, and data systems Conduct site audits, ensure compliance, and uphold safety and quality standards Perform hands‑on fibre work when required (splicing, testing, fault finding, hauling, civil tasks) Liaise with project managers, engineering, and clients to ensure project success Support integration of fibre with broader telecommunications technologies Maintain accurate reporting, documentation, and job close‑out standards Required Technical Expertise Fibre (Primary Skillset) Fibre splicing, termination, hauling, pit & pipe OTDR testing & trace interpretation IL/ORL testing and loss budgeting Fault‑finding and emergency restoration Enterprise, NBN, and carrier network experience Multi‑Technology Advantage Experience in any of the following is highly desirable: Wireless / Radio Fixed wireless installs & alignment Point‑to‑point microwave links Wi‑Fi troubleshooting Exposure to 4G/5G/small cell deployments Civil & Infrastructure Pit & pipe installation Conduit/hauling works Trenching & reinstatement Understanding of carrier civil standards What We’re Looking For A practical leader who can coach, train, and uplift their team A senior technician with extensive hands‑on experience Someone comfortable working in both field and office environments A solutions‑focused, safety‑driven professional Someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑responsibility environment Why Join NX Solutions?
