We’re looking for an experienced Lead – Talent Acquisition to design and implement innovative recruitment strategies that attract and retain top talent across operational and corporate roles at Catholic Homes. Partnering with department heads and hiring managers, you’ll build strong talent pipelines and drive continuous improvement in our recruitment processes to support a high‑performing, mission‑aligned workforce across residential and home care services. The right candidate will actively participate in the “Care with Purpose” model, contribute to continuous improvement and quality initiatives, and ensure feedback mechanisms for residents, clients, and employees are understood and acted upon appropriately. Talent Strategy: Lead organisation‑wide talent acquisition strategies, build pipelines for critical roles, and drive innovative recruitment practices to improve efficiency and outcomes. Oversee programmes that enhance employer branding and workforce planning, provide strategic advice to managers, ensure compliance with values and regulations, and champion continuous improvement to optimise hiring performance. Team Management: Provide leadership and coaching to the Talent Team, ensuring high‑quality recruitment support and effective workload management. The role requires a focus on building team capability through mentoring and best‑practice guidance, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement, while supporting professional development and wellbeing in alignment with Catholic Homes’ values. End‑to‑End Recruitment: Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, ensuring consistent, high‑quality processes aligned with Catholic Homes’ values and compliance standards. Provide expertise on complex hires, guide hiring managers, and lead best‑practice screening, onboarding, and candidate experience initiatives. Additionally, the right candidate will manage recruitment workflows, coach stakeholders, maintain employer branding, and deliver evidence‑based recommendations to support workforce capability. Workplace Health and Safety: Promote and maintain a safe working environment by complying with workplace safety standards, reporting hazards and incidents promptly, and using equipment responsibly. Follow emergency procedures, apply correct manual handling techniques, and contribute to risk assessments and hazard control activities to ensure health, safety, and wellbeing for all. Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with Catholic Homes’ policies and procedures, attend all required training and meetings, and provide regular recruitment performance reports to the Chief People Officer. Compile data and metrics on recruitment, diversity, compliance, and hires to inform People & Culture reports for the Executive Team and Board, offering insights and recommendations for improvement. Selection Criteria To be considered for this position you will demonstrate: Extensive experience leading recruitment in complex, high‑volume environments, ideally within aged care, health, or other regulated sectors. Proven ability to design and execute organisation‑wide talent acquisition strategies and deliver recruitment projects or reforms. Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing high‑performing recruitment teams and embedding best practice. Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, providing strategic workforce insights to senior leaders. Advanced analytical capability, using data to drive strategy, reporting, and continuous improvement. Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining an excellent candidate experience. Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and HR technology to optimise processes and outcomes. High professional judgment, discretion, and commitment to values‑based recruitment principles.
