We connect Government clients with trusted SMEs, and we give those businesses the support they need to win and deliver meaningful work. Every contract we deliver strengthens local capability and reinvests back into our communities. We’re now looking for someone who loves writing, collaborating, and helping others succeed. Someone who can turn good ideas into compelling, well-structured tenders and quotes that win. This role sits at the heart of how we unlock potential for our members. About the Role As a Tender & Submissions Specialist, you’ll work closely with our Contracts team to produce high-quality, competitive submissions for opportunities across Defence and the wider Commonwealth. You’ll work directly with our SMEs - listening, guiding, shaping their ideas, and helping articulate their capability with clarity and confidence. You’ll also coordinate between members and Government clients to clarify requirements, align on tender strategy and support light-touch contract negotiations where required. A good grasp of Commonwealth procurement processes, including common panel arrangements such as DSS, ICTPA, BuyICT, and Defence standing offers, will help you succeed. What You’ll Be Doing Draft, edit and coordinate winning tenders, quotes and capability statements. Translate technical input from SMEs into clear, persuasive content aligned to evaluation criteria. Ensure submissions are compliant with Commonwealth procurement rules, panel arrangements and agency-specific requirements. Manage deadlines, documentation and version control with care. Member Engagement Work directly with small and medium businesses to gather information, uplift their capability and shape strong responses. Provide guidance on tender strategy, win themes, past performance narratives and response structure. Support their understanding of Government processes and decision points. Client & Stakeholder Coordination Engage with Commonwealth agencies, Defence teams and procurement officers to clarify requirements early. Support Q&A coordination, compliance checks and refinement of responses. Assist with light-touch commercial discussions and contract clarifications. Internal Collaboration Work closely with our Contracts & Submissions team to prioritise opportunities and allocate work. Contribute to continuous improvement of templates, processes and tools. Lift the quality and consistency of all ServeGate submissions across the organisation. About You You’ll thrive here if you: ✔️ have strong writing skills — structured, crisp and clear ✔️ understand Federal Government or Defence environments ✔️ are familiar with Commonwealth procurement processes, including panels such as DSS, ICTPA and other standing offers ✔️ enjoy talking with people and building trusted relationships ✔️ can break down complex requirements into manageable steps ✔️ are organised, calm under pressure and comfortable juggling deadlines ✔️ take pride in producing polished, high-quality work ✔️ want your work to genuinely support SMEs to grow Tender writing or procurement experience is highly regarded, but what matters most is your writing ability, your people skills and your commitment to helping others succeed.
