We’re seeking an energetic Mechanical Reliability Engineer to lead reliability and continuous improvement across our department. In this role, you’ll develop, maintain, and enhance strategies that improve reliability, extend asset life, and reduce costs, while driving continuous improvement in maintenance practices. Working closely with maintenance and production teams, you’ll identify issues, implement effective solutions, and support capital planning to ensure long-term asset performance. Principal Accountabilities Provide technical expertise to ensure safe, high‑quality work execution Monitor, analyse, and report on equipment health and performance Lead root cause investigations for major failures and implement corrective actions Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to identify and deliver reliability improvements Own maintenance strategies and ensure statutory compliance Recommend replacement of obsolete or end‑of‑life components to support asset management Prepare capital and major maintenance justifications to deliver cost‑effective solutions Selection Criteria Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent post‑secondary qualification, ideally with experience in reliability engineering Proven experience in maintenance supervision, planning, or reliability improvement within an industrial environment Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving skills, with demonstrated ability to lead teams and achieve results through collaboration Why Tomago Aluminium?
