Australian Electric Vehicle Specialists – Beresfield NSW Due to substantial growth, we are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high achieving team, with a fast‑paced work environment. You will play an important role in the delivery of unique, world‑class vehicle electrification projects. We are seeking a motivated individual, who is excited by electrification in the automotive/transport sectors, and wants an opportunity to excel in this industry. This full‑time position is based in Beresfield, NSW 2322 and offers competitive remuneration and benefits. Key Responsibilities Oversee design, manufacturing and testing of components as part of vehicle electrification projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and requirements Packaging of conversion kit components in new vehicle platforms, with considerations for environment, vibration, clearance and serviceability Complete analysis of mechanical designs for structural validation (such as powertrains, battery containers, vehicle sub‑frames etc.) Developing drawings and oversee fabrication of components with internal and external fabricators Oversee production of simultaneous conversion projects, liaising with suppliers, manufacturers and other team members What you will bring to the team Recognised industry experience in Mechanical Engineering Proven project leadership and a proactive approach Excellent collaboration and communication skills Experience with CAD modelling software (OnShape preferred) Knowledge of Australian standards What we’re looking for Formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering 3+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer preferably with exposure to electric vehicles and automotive design Familiarity with modern vehicle electrical and electronic systems, including high voltage components Excellent communication and customer service skills A focus on safety, quality and efficiency A valid driver’s licence What we offer At Australian Electric Vehicle Specialists, we are committed to providing a supportive and rewarding work environment.
