About the Unit Please note: This is not an active vacancy.Yara Pilbara are seeking expressions of interest from individuals who are suitably qualified and would like to be considered for future E&I Technician opportunities at our Yara Pilbara site in Karratha, Western Australia. The Yara Pilbara Fertilisers' plant is one of the largest ammonia production sites in the world and we have also taken the ammonia process further downstream with the Yara Pilbara Nitrates Technical Ammonium Nitrate (TAN) plant, a joint venture with Orica. Together with ENGIE, Yara Pilbara will also build a renewable hydrogen plant to produce renewable ammonia. Responsibilities Yara Pilbara are building a talent pool for upcoming E&I Technician roles (Monday to Friday work pattern), across our ammonia and TAN plants. E&I Technicians at Yara Pilbara typically: Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on electrical and instrumentation equipment Diagnose faults and conduct troubleshooting on complex systems, working closely with reliability engineers Accurately document work in SAP, including time, technical feedback, and job progress Ensure compliance with safety procedures and environmental standards Support team capability by mentoring apprentices and collaborating across teams If you’d like to register your interest for future E&I Technician roles with Yara, click Apply to submit your expression of interest. Profile What do Yara typically look for? WA-recognised electrical trade qualifications Certificate IV in Instrumentation or equivalent trade qualification EEHA and High Voltage Switching certifications Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar industry (petrochemical, gas, or oil refining) SAP and Microsoft Office skills (preferred) Strong understanding of industry standards, safety and environmental practices Fluent in written and spoken English Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency Additional Information Yara celebrates diversity in all operations, practices, and engagement.
