A Snapshot As the Regional Project Manager - High Voltage , Australia you will work closely with Development, Technology and Operations teams, making your mark in several ways: Develop and implement a delivery program of AirTrunk High Voltage (HV) infrastructure across Australia. Manage the design and construction, connection and commissioning of AirTrunk’s HV Substations and its HV systems. Hire and manage a high performing team to deliver safe and quality projects, on time and within budget. Your Day to Day Develop and manage a high performing team. Develop HV delivery strategies for effective project delivery in each region. Ensure the highest safety and quality across all projects. Manage the efficient and on time delivery of all HV projects across the region. Develop and manage budgets Develop and manage standards, scope of works, designs and specifications Tender and onboard vendors and contractor partners. Undertake continual improvement programmes to ensure we are eliminating waste. Identify and drive value engineering opportunities and systems improvements. Ensure compliance with local codes, authorities and the like. Manage and maintain key relationships at all levels with utilities, regulators, consultants, vendors and contractors Manage and negotiate at a deep technical level with authorities and utilities to achieve best possible project outcomes Prepare and manage applications, coordinate with power utilities and regulatory bodies to obtain all necessary permits and approvals required for projects delivery Assist and manage technology and operations team's reviews Develop and provide regular project reporting to senior management including project safety, quality, time, costs, progress, authorities and risk. Set and manage KPI and SLA’s for our vendors. Manage the development of AirTrunk’s HV on site networks to be safe and efficient, meeting or exceeding local code requirements and industry best practice. Oversee the development and management of the HV network design on new and existing AirTrunk networks, including primary, secondary, SCADA, earthing and DC systems. Travel to project and sites as required. Strong and effective communicator with the ability to confidently negotiate with internal and external stakeholders on a professional level. Strong and effective collaborator with internal and external teams and stakeholders, Managed and mentored high performing teams, minimum of 5 years, Well organised and effective manager to manage workload to meet deadlines Strong analytical, commercial and problem-solving skills to review supply agreements and oversee procurement and delivery efforts Commercial and cost management experience and ability to analyse cost benefit when considering development strategy Experience working with authorities, utility and energy regulators Ability to work across multiple teams and manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, problem solving, risk and time management deliverables. Professional attitude with persuasive skills in making things happen Preferred requirements Extensive high voltage experience with a utility or in electrical consulting or contracting, minimum 7 years Strong technical knowledge of HV systems and assets including GIS, AIS, switchgear, Transformers, protection relays and DC systems. In-depth knowledge of secondary controls systems including protection & SCADA systems.
